I travel to photograph people and events. This shoot was especially cool because I travelled to Red Deer Alberta to create grad photos for Daimyn, the son of my long-time friend LaReina. Throughout high school LaReina and I had side-by-side lockers (lucky me because she is cool, happy, funny and shared her food). Now she has a kid graduating from high school. Nope, doesn’t’ make me feel old, makes me feels grateful. My job is particularly good at pointing out how cyclical life can be (grad photos, engagement photos, wedding photos, belly photos, newborn photos, family photos and then back to grad photos). My job also reminds me how important it is to live in the now. I spend less time ruminating about the past and more time enjoying who my kids are right now….besides, I’ll always have photos to look back on! Congratulations on graduating Daimyn! and congratulations LaReina, you did good!
